Day 1: Arrival in Menaggio

Upon arrival in the village of Menaggio on the shores of Lake Como, head to the hotel.
The rest of the day is free to explore the city and enjoy the view of the mountains over the lake.
In the following days, take some time to explore the small towns, the belvedere, woods on both sides of Lake Como, the gardens of Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo and Villa Melzi in Bellagio.

Day 2: Walk of your choice between 3 itineraries

ITINERARY A: From Menaggio through the Val Sanagra Nature Reserve (15,5 km - 5 h)
It starts from Menaggio through the Val Sanagra Nature Reserve. A circular walk that starts from Menaggio leads to Val Sanagra, an unknown area rich in historical and cultural traces.
From Menaggio we reach Loveno, a noble village of many villas, then towards Pianuro, a vast pasture still used today by
livestock.
The path then follows the Sanagra stream, typical alpine water of course, with several ancient mills and foundries that cross time where it has formed impressive gorges. The walk passes to Barna, a delightful village where time seems to have stopped. 

ITINERARY B: From Breglia to Monte Grona and Monte Bregagnino (km 14 - 6,5 h)
A circular walk that starts from Menaggio leads to Val Sanagra, an unknown area rich in historical and cultural traces. From Menaggio we reach Loveno, a noble village of many villas, then towards Pianuro, a vast pasture still used today by cattle.
The path then follows the Sanagra stream, with its typical alpine water of course, with several ancient mills and foundries that cross the time it has formed impressive gorges. The walk passes Barna, a delightful village where time seems to have stopped.

ITINERARY C: From Menaggio to Rezzonico on the Antica Strada Regina (km 9 - 3 h)
The Antica Strada Regina which runs along the western coast of Lake Como was built by the ancient Romans. It was an important road connecting Como and the Alpine passes. The old path was used until the end of the 18th century when the road was built. This stretch starts from Menaggio and continues along cobbled paths to the characteristic village of Rezzonico. From the top of the hill you can enjoy a splendid view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. After the walk, return to Menaggio with a local bus.

Day 3: Transfer to Cavarna and walk to Porlezza (km 16,5 - 5 h)

A private morning transfer will take you to the hilltop village of Cavargna from where you will find a spectacular climb leading to the Church of San Lucio, right on the border between Italy and Switzerland.
A spectacular panoramic path that leads through woods and meadows 1550 m to Porlezza, located at the north-east end of Lake Lugano, and very close to the border.
This countryside and forest walk, with commanding views, is one of the area's highlights.

Day 4: Walk Porlezza - San Mamete via Alpe Vecchia (km 11,3 - 5 h)

Today's optional excursion takes you to the mountains above Lake Lugano, a beautiful setting of forest, waterfalls and small lakeside villages. The start is quite challenging going up the steep side of the mountain, but once done you will find at the Alpe Vecchio a beautiful refuge on the plateau, you can relax and admire the landscape. The road towards the village of San Mamete is downhill, through woods and paths, to the hamlet of San Mamete. Here, take the bus to Porlezza.

• The baggage must be ready at the reception by 8.30 in the morning and delivery to the next structure is guaranteed by 16.00;
• Customers can only bring 1 piece per person, if they have more than 1 piece per person we must be informed at the time of booking because there is a supplement to be paid to the carrier;
• The maximum size allowed for baggage is 60 x 50 x 40 cm; the maximum weight allowed is 20 kg.
